| I have something vaguely interesting to post about and it saves me saying it 100's of times.
Yesterday, being tuesday, I set off to York for my Norwich Union / Aviva Graduate assement centre. Basically after going through all the interviews, tests and such like this is the final stage before being offered a palce (or not). Decided to use the train to get to York instead of driving as it was more simple and took similer length of time. Managed to get a direct virgin train there, left about 1 arrived about 5. Walked to the hotel which i found pretty easily. It was very nice from the outside and certainly ok on the inside. It was like a collection of historic manner buildings converted right on the york riverfront in the famous Skeldergate viking part (apparantly). The rooms were a little "bed and breakfast" but it was fine. Checkedtin and chilled in my room un packing my carefully preserved suit etc, had quick shower and headed down to reception by 7. There were two women, one older and one around 30 sitting there with a man of inplacable age. What i mean is he was clearly young, yet at the same time could easily have been 50. He was wearing a navy blazer and suit trousers, tie etc even though it was smart casual so i was a little "hmm" cos i was just wearing a cool black shirt with black trousers... So anyway i sat down and joined the conversation. what I learnt was the two women were from NU to meet us. the implacable age guy was called nick. He was very "northern" and even before he mentioned it I could tell he was an army man.. apparantly he had been doing officer trainign for 2 years but had hurt his knee and had to quit. To be honest, He BELONGS in the army.. everything about him.. even his facial expressions say army officer. Oh well.. he was quite dominating in conversation (dont you just hate people like that :-) but it wasnt too bad. Ater a while it seemed as though no1 else was turning up. One guy had at least phoned to say hed be late and another had cancelled but there still should have been 7. In the end the late guy arrived.. his name was chris and he looked younger than me.. turns out both him and nick were 24 and i was the youngest person i met over the whole 2 days. Anyway Chris arrived in jeans and a half undone shirt so i felt alot more confatable about the lack of suit jacket :p Around that time a guy called Dom arrived.. he was a graduate who had got through the scheme last year and so had come along to hang out with us for the evening and answer any questions we had. So after a while we realised knowone else was coming (shocking! go through all the effort and then not show up.. even if u dont want the job its a free hotel and night out!) so we decided to head into town to a mexican resturant and get food.. it was nice, for jo's sake i will tell her what i ate.. fajitas.. there done.. Then the woman left and us 3 and Dom went to Varisty and had a few pints together.. Dom was very cool, he was from Exeter so was nice and southern like me so we got on really well.. he told us basically EVERYTHING about the assesment the next day, and they blatantly hadnt changed it since the year before.. So got back to the hotel about 11:30, chilled out, watched a little TV, funny thing that re-enacts the lives of famous celebrities :P then went to bed.. didnt sleep too well (havent been for a while) but still managed to get up ok.. had set my phone but also had taken Nicks advise and got a telephone wakeup.. funny thing is.. after the phone system rang me, it broke and the other two didnt get their wake up call :p so had shower etc etc and went down the breakfast after renting and iron from reception to sort out my shirt. Had full english breakfast with the other two, felt like a bit of an outsider because they both lived in simillar places and knew the cities etc up there whereas i had no clue.. i think id have done better if it had been in the south.. its sad but true really.. anyway we met up with the assessors, two of them were the women from the day before, and a whole bunch of other guys.. The day was split into 4 parts.. the first was a 1 on 1 itnerview (well actually there were two of them) and it was just standard "give me an example of a time when you gave..." competency based questiosn and i think i did really well on them... Next we were given a booklet of info each about a fictional company that was opening a new branch.. it had sales figures reports etc etc and we had to make a decisions, then present a 10 minute case backing it.. that was to two different assessors and again i think i did pretty well.. then we broke for lunch and i ended up sitting with a very important Director called alastair, he was from scotland and we got on well. unfortuantely he has no decisison about whether i get a palce or not. After lunch (it was lasagne jo) we went back in.. the next thing was a group excersise.. somewhat tricky wth only 3 of us.. basically we had to write down what we thought were the 5 most important events of the last 100 years.. then come together and make a single list by arguing and putting forward our case... we had 30 mins to make our list and prepare a presentation on each event.. This one i felt went badly..all the assessors were their and because of it being us three.. i felt it was me versus army nick, and chris beign a yes man, had sided with nick.. so i couldnt express myself or put my points accross effectively.. it was annoying.. also apparantly at the beggining nick had suggested making a time table, which i didnt hear him say at all.. and all the assessors were saying how good an idea that was. WTF? a time table when youve got 30 mins to do it all.. you;d have spent 10 mins working out the time table.. it seemed a waste when there were only 3 people.. but they disagreed so i probably came out not so great there.. finally we had verbal and numerical reasoning tests.. 20 questions for each and 20 mins per test.. aparantly i got around the 76th percentle (that means i did better than 76% of people would have done)which i think was the highest of us 3 and definately enough to pass.. after that it was the end, we will all be informed in a few days so off we went to the station.. me and chris had a quick drink in a pub there while waiting for trains.. i then ended up bumping into nick as well as he had missed his train (he had left before us two) then eventually a train i could get arrived, took me to birmingham where i changed for Reading.. got home at 5 past 9 and home my half past.. that pretty much concludes my trip to York.. to summize.. i think it went well, there were aspects that could have gone better.. and if i dont get offered a place i will be happy as this was the first real interview experience iv had.. seeing as most people who get through are in their mid twenties i wont be too dissapoitned as there is always next year.. but we shall see | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment   |

very first was riding around on a toy truck i ahd.. i was 2.. its pretty fuzzy though.. first clear one was moving out of my old flat.. as we were leaving a big royal mail van drove down the road and i asked my dad if it had come to known our house down.. he said yes :p

| | Clearly no1 reads these, as they cant even be bothered to write their own, or idneed comment on mine.. Except for wonderfull jo of course although even she seems to be including less detail of late. anywho, this weekend i expect i shall be busy and thus i am quickly update now. I left off last friday, where we were about to go to a far away pub. We ended up not going to it in the end, but isntead a few of our friends cam eround and we played scene it?, a comedy DVD bored game about films. It was pretty fun. I think wehad an amazing pasta tomato and cheese thing that bridie made for dinner. On saturday we didnt do much in the day, i suspect i attempted work but didnt manage any. Anywho, that evening Bridie was down for a few reasons so i decided to try cheer her up by taking us and some friends to the hungry horse restuarant in Whitstable (she had had a dream about pie and so was craving it, then ended up having stew! i had a whole chicken crown and our friends had scambi and chicken pie. It was pretty cool, pretty cheap to.. So had fun that night and didnt get home till late. The next day was sunday, and we went out a did a load of food shopping. That night we had tasty tasty chicken Tikka Wrap things.. most delicous. Watched new season of top gear, which is as classic as ever. Also played some wind waker that night, finally got all the triforce peices.. its not that it was hard but it took too long before and im a busy person.. dont play comp games much. So monday rolled around and thigns started good. then bridie and me had some sadness, and so sage came out for the day. She decided to play the snes for most of the day and she managed to complete all of super mario 2! and lots of yoshis island too. We also painted some egg cups, from the kit she had brought me. she amde me a lovely one and so i made one with all my bridie familly (crudely) painted on the sides. Sage had a shower then bridie came back out. Bridie felt like a Burger King, so i obliged ( yes i know it seems like we are constantly spending money but we arent!) when we got back we chatted to nikki an dalun on webcam! and skype.. twas very fun. Also, we decided to randomyl start looking at holidays, and i for a joke searched for cruises. Found this amazing offer with p&o.. 4 nights cruise to bilbao, in spain, buy one get one free. So that works out at £34 per person! thats insane! so the four of us (alun and nikki and us two) thought what the hell an dbooked it.. Trouble is that its the week starting monday march 12th, so we will miss soem uni, but for a curise that iv always wanted to do, who cares right? If anyone else is interested then you should def considor booking.. i mean. A CRUISE! So yeah things were looking up. Bridie made me a very tasty sweet chili chicken thing with noodles for late night snack.. was delicious and spicy! Ended up going to bed about 2, but had to wake up at 8, however for soem reason woke up at 7 and couldnt go back to sleep. Sobasically felt pretty gay all day. Went to my first lecture at 9, then worked for 2 hours on campus and went to my second. Both were awesome. When i got home i ate and then fell asleep for about half an hour around 4, i dont usually do that kidna thing but i was so tired! when i got up i decided to have a relentless to keep me awake but those kidna caffeine drinks always makeme twitchy so i didnt have too much.. We went shopping with soem friends, who brought 144 rolls of toilet paper lol, Then when i got in i did more work, had Curry for dinner which was lovely and am starting to wake up finally. tomorrow I have a lecture and a load more work to do then on thurs its off to jo's after my seminar at 3. Expecting to have killer time of awesome, then we are heading home on fri. Dreading seeing ym dad a bit, hes been borrowing ltos of money off me lately cos, as most of u prob know, hes a chronic gambler. Not that i sympahtise with him. i think hes an idiot and i dont really wanna talk to him again, but ill have to see him for at least a day till he goes back to spain. On fri night were gonna hang with alun and nikki then on sat iv got my thorpe park induction. Then on sunday i have my thorpe park trainign day! such a busy weekend. shoul dbe fun to be at the old place again though. Then finally back here on monday.. and that, my friends, is that... | Ok seriously i need to do more than 1 post a week if we want an accurate picture of my life because i have no idea what i did a week ago. My last journal ended with us playing soul calibur. Hmm.. I expect we watched a stargate then went to bed. The next day was Friday.. hmm. we went home i believe. Didn't get back till late cos we faffed like usual. About 9 i think.. Setup computers and stuff, we ate fish and chips that night and also went to Asda to geta multi socket and a few bits. The next day we met with alun and Nikki about 2 and went into Reading. We spent a while hanging out then had a tasty lunch in Tootsies (why name a burger bar after your toes? SRSLY!?) Anyway after that Nikki had to go home so we dropped them off and came home i think. That nigth ym dad had made me a stew and it wa sok, but bridie really liked it. don't think we did much that night, watched soem Lexx and stuff.. The next day Bridie wanted to see Alun and Nikki again so we found out they were free in the evening. So that day we did our usual wasting of time. i'm sure it seemed important at the time. Saw them again that eve.. we went to the bottel where nikki got famously drunk on 3 glasses of wine.. At throwing out time she decided she was having too much fun revealing all of aluns personal secrets... all i can say is "they're Squishy!".. So we hung out in my car for a while jsut chattign and repeatedly going for outside toilet breaks.. had alot of fun and eventually went home. The next day we took a while to get moving AGAIN.. Eventually got going at about 4 and got home about 7.. I spent msot of that night settign up my mega hifi that i decided to bring with me to uni.. now no1 can cosntantly annoy me with Blaring tv or bass thumps. SO that night i did that but we also went shopping at sainsburies with everyone and bridie brought ltos of cake mixes. She then made a carrot cake and some darlek cookies that night. I had to get up at 8 the next day but i think we may have had some problems so i didnt get to sleep till 2 or 3 or something. Went to my first lecture fine and came home before going back up for my second one. Was feeling pretty tired all day though. That afternoon i did a load of semianr work for the next day. I think that evening we hung out round the other house for a while. I expect we wtached a stargate too hehe. Next day had to get up early again for that semianr which went really well.. i wa slike one of only 2 people to answer questions.. and get them all right.. the lecture after was really good too.. i just felt uber alert which is really rare for me. We covered basic games in economics.. simple but fun. Should i explain them in this post? hmm why not.. ok look at the picture iv bothered to upload.. The story is that two guys have commited a crime. Now the police have caught them but the evidence wont hold up in court. They split the two up and offer them a proposition. They say you can either deny or confess. The outcomes of their decisions are represented below. C and D represent confess and deny and the two numbers are the years each person spends in prison. Ok so firstly, if Dean decides to deny the crime, James can either Deny and get 5 years, or confess and get 6 years. Obviosuly he will deny right? But if Dean confesses, james can either get 0 years if he denies it, or 1 year if he confesses. So again, tis better to deny. So whatever Dean does, its always better for James to deny it. So now look at it from Deans point of view. If James confesses, he can get 0 years if he denies of 1 if he confesses too. So deny is better. But if James denies aswell, Dean can get 6 if he confesses of 5 if he denies. Thus, Its always better for him to deny too right? SO both of these guys will choose deny, and end up getting 6 years each when, if only they had both confessed, they'd have gotten only 1 year each. Amazing eh?
See!? economics is fun! well.. that bit.. and its a very small bit lol.. But now at least all of you know ONE thing that i do.
Anyway back to the post, That even, being weds we didnt do much cos we had to get an early night.. we did and got up bright and early at 8 the next day.. got ready quickly and headed to macdonalds for bridies breakfast and asda for mine (im on a diet dontch ya know). We then got going to thorpe. Drove through an amazing blizzard for a bit, looked like we were goign warp speed, but then it turne dinto a lovely day. Got there a little early do went into staines for like 5 mins but paid 80p for parking! then went to thorpe. Bridie went in and i sat in the car for 2 hours reading by back log of economist magazines. ill let bridie describe her interview on her blog but it went great and she got the job. We drove home and got in reasonably early. We had hopped to see steph that even but she got soem bad news so we went got soem kfc and decided to drive back that night. We drove home and got in about 10. Last night bridie got a bit over tired and we had soem probs again. Peach, one of bridies newer personal;ities got quite sad so me an dher spent soem time together and she decided to reintergrate to bridie. Which she did.. it was a sad night. We got to sleep around 3 i think. Then today got up late (for the first time in ages), and i spent the day cleaning the room (it was a state) and then the kitchen (it was a state).. it seems liek im endlessy cleaning now.. im turning into my mum. | | Post of power, ENLARGE!.. right, Its very hard for me to remember the week in the correct order but i'll try. The next day from my last post I believe was friday where I had woken up really early. But i could be wrong. No it was friday. I think in the day, matt and bridie played super mario all stars on the snes for most of the day, and attempted to complete it but got stuck. That evening we went to our mates house and watched the baby borrowers, which is this awesome show about teenage couples having to look after kids, then watched coming to america with eddie murphy which is an awesome movie. During the film Bridie feel asleep, which is bad because now and then, bridie falls into this really wierd like "death" sleep where u can't wake her up at all. Not even opening her eyes will. So after a while of me realising i cant carry her home i just wait for her there to wake up, which she usually does after a while. She did wake up, but she felt pretty bad so we went home and just hung out for a while till she felt more with it. Watched a stargate i believe. Got to bed about four that night so was a bit tired when matt came round at 12, knocked on the door, even though we said dont come in, came in, informed us he'd brought pepsi for us, and could he play some more snes. Lol well its good to have bridie awake at that kind of time anyway so we agreed. He went to wash up some glasses while we got ready and proceeded to break one of them. so they played snes that day and i prob faffed on the computer. I know I was trying to get SageTV to work but it has a problem with my video card, anyway that night we decided to go to the pub but matt was in trouble with alex for ignoring her for two days whilst playing mario, so they didnt end up coming so it was just me bridie sean sharon and beth. I'm not really drinking at the mo, so i only had water and orangre juice during the night but everyone else had a few. Things were going well untll everyone decided they wanted fish and chips.. so we walked into town, but our favorite fish and chips shop was shut, so we walked to another, it was also, so we walked to a third (all on opposite sides of town) and it was also shut. This was annoying and bridie wasnt feeling great, i got a subway and so did she but she tried a new one and didnt like it so i had to eat that too. She felt pretty bad about wasting money which put her off her food but i told her she should get some fried chicken from munchies where the rest of them were. The people in muncheis were dicks. The guy just in front of us said "how long is it gonna be, i;'ve been waiting ages" and the guy said 5 mins, and so the first guy was like "argh cant you do it quicker?" and so the guy at the fryer said "ok then 5, 4, 3 ,2 ,1" there you go" and took it out"!! as jo will know, this is not acceptable at all! so he then served bridie with the same batch as he had just got out.. it was all wierd and there was red stuff in it.. This made her feel evem worse so she went up to complain and they were twats, they started pikcing it apart, ripping it and saying look its fine, ur lying etc.. they were just really nasty so bridie got really upset and stormed out. Unfortuantely all this was just abit too much for her illness and it made her zone out outside and switch to sage. luckily i had run after her and caught up with her before she quite did it so she didnt fall too hard to the floor. When bridie is REALLy upset about things like this she has BIg zone outs which can often make a new personality appear, but luckily sage managed to stop it. So after that we walked home and, after i dropped beth at home, went to bed. Next day, being sunday, we didnt really do much. Neither of us can really rememeber. I found out some bad news about my dad. Also I have been going for my runs during these days iv just forgotten to mention it. i can now do about a mile without stopping, half of which is up hill so thats not too bad. Ive also been at the stomach crunches but after doing 100 for 2 days, i couldnt move so i gotta work my way into those. So on monday i went and worked at the library and did my reading for the week, then that night we watched that baby borrowers thing again cos its great. that night Bridie and me went to bed, but sadly, bridie went into her funny kinda death sleep again and rolled out of the bed without waking up. I got her back into bed rather awkwardly but when she did wake up, it was a new personality. It seems she hadnt really recvered fromt he other night, but sage had been holding it at bay. anyway this persoanlity was very chatty and happy, so we called her jo lol. I had to get up at 8 the next day and it was about 3 at this point. Anyway we decided to make this jo person "go", its complciated to explain so jsut bear with. Which she did, but then unfortuantly bridie went wierd. We decided to sort it out in the morning. i got up and went to my lectur, came back, slept for another hour, got up went to my second, then when i got home, bridie woke up. It seemed that, for some reason, there were two bridies. one entirely happy,and one very sad. After a while i convinced them to re-intergrate, so they became one again, which they did. Jo, had also come back when this happened, but we discovered her memory only lasted about 3 minutes so we got her to reintergrate too as she wouldnt really be able to have much of a life with no memory. After that bridie seems back to normal which is good. Tuesday night went to pizza hut with sean and sharon. it was nice even if they service was abit lame, then went and watched baby borrowers again. Wednesday I had one lecture which went awesome, i even pointed out a flaw to the lecturer.. Its about game theory which is like partly maths. Wednesday Baby borrowers isnt on. We went to the pub again with sharon and will, and met Sean and Ed there. Played trivia persuit with the pubs board which was fun. Got home, watched dog soldiers with everyone. i like it cos they are all so english and not false and "actory". After that, watched soem SG-1, season 4 is really good. Has my fav episode about the time loop and also a few others, liek where u see the asguard homeworld. Moving on, next day was thursday, being yesterday. In the day i went to the library to work, doing sem prep for next week. Then in the eve we went to weatherspoons. It was abit shit at first cos the girl who always organsies it was pretty rude to us. Was like oh we're going in 30 mins be ready, when i wasn't even in "who goes to the pub at 6:30??!" anyway we got ready as quick as we could but needed to eat soemthing cos we werent eatign shitty weatherspoons food, did so and when they arrived we were practiclly getting our shoes on, but she kinda refused to let them wait and so they all went off without us, except beth. That pretty uncool so we drove down cos i wasnt drinking and beat them there. Got a nice table before theyd even got there so fuck em. That wasnt the end of the rudeness but never mind. it turned out ok in the end. We ended up rather childishly playing spin the bottle. No1 would dare except me sean sharon and bridie. most of the dares involved giving blow jobs to a bottle of cider that was on the table. Most hilarious. Also found out that several of the girls there choose me if they had to do one of the guys from our group which is always nice :) That night we got it, played some soul caliber 2 which sharon was shockingly good at, and then watched stargate and went to bed. and that brigns me to today. | | A second post?! well thats just plain bushwa! anyways where did I leave off? i believe it was the day before we went to the bottel, thus i will resume on friday.. wow jo this really helps you sort your memory out. Right on friday (which is eons ago) I sorted out my whole house.. me and bridie have a bad habit of filling my dads room with junk when he's not there. Although I started it this time. Hollie rang Bridie in the day because she was ill and couldn't come to the bottel anymore but wanted to see Bridie. So i took bridie there but couldnt stay as I still had to sort out the house and pack. I had a lovely dinner of southern fried chicken and chips and i later found out bridie and hollie had got a pizza.. Went and picked her up and went straight to the pub.. twas awesome even though i got stuck in the corner for a while.. enjoyed talking to charlsey and jarrod about audio equipment and annoying everyone.. and of course arguing with elmo about .. well.. everything lol. After bottel we played an amusing game of stopping in the middle of the road with jo stuck behind us and then, because bridie was drunk, she insisted we drive to jos a different way quicker than her so we could stop her getting into her drive.. it was also hilarious lol. got home and i suspect i watched a stargate hehe.. Next day was packing and leaving time.. which we did, had to make a detour to charlseys though to return his usb midi interface which i had been using with the roland td-3 drum module the previous day i had borrowed from dave.. i have to admit i was unimpressed with the results.. i think battery2 is probably my best bet for now. anyway, we set off and stopped for food at clacket lane.. got served by some russian people in the resturant there. Anyway, we continued and got here at like 6. We then proceeded to very slowly unpack whilst cleaning all of my room entirely (like under desks and stuff) and then moved the furniture around. Bridie put up some cool xmas lights (nice ones in little frame things though, they arent like, over christmassy) and they make a nice relaxed mood in here. That was pretty much all we did that night. I'm having a bit of trouble remembering what we did Sunday, I recall working from home as the library was shut. I also went for my first run.. i am scarily unfit. That night our friend beth came round and i cooked for us all, some sort of mince meat ball thing with pasta, spring onions and some fresh tomatoes and pasata and like freshly baked bread.. oh and grated cheese. It wasnt as bad as i expected. I expect i watched a stargate that night too. I think that night Bridie had a bit of a bad night with her zone outs and she wasnt around for the next day so i didnt manage to get any work done but luckily i didnt have any lectures. I spent time with her "others" and it was nice.The next day Bridie still wasn't back so i spent msot of the day with Rock and sage. I think me and sage and sean and sharon got a macdonalds and I went for my second run. there's more to it but its not interesting lol. Ok next day I got alot more of my essay done but Bridie still wasnt back so i spent the day with rock and sage. Bridie re appeared slightly later though. We went shopping at sainsburies with our friend Alex and brought loadsa food (all fresh because our freezer has been filled up by everyone else, yet they all blame each other.) but thats good anyway as its more healthy. We cooked at our friends house (alex's.. she only lives 3 doors down) and ended up hanging there with her and her boyf matt who also lives there. Bridie experimented with a sort of beef chilli ramen noodle thing.. kinda like u get at wagamamas.. i thought it was nice and matt liked it alot but bridie didnt so she made herself a quick stirfry after. she then made a lemon merangue and Alex made an apple and pear crumble which was just pure sugar goo.. i liked it. We spent that night watching the baby borrowers on beeb 3.. its a show about teenage couples who have to take care of other peopels kids.. first babies, then toddlers then pre teens, teens and fianlly OAP's.. its on alot at the moment so look out for it. Ok didnt get home till like 2 that night. Next day being wednesday i believe I woke up really late and so didnt end up doing any essay, I wasn't worried though as i had all of thurs and friday to do it. I just realised I forgot to mention any of my lectures at all so breifly, i had two on tuesday, the first one was public sector economics and he basically explained how interesting it was and why the nhs shouldnt save peoples lives, then i had international finance which is with a really good lecturer but he scared me by saying its really hard and most people fail. Then on wednesday i had one lecture with a guy i know is a twat and he was twatish but the module looks fun so he can't ruin it too much. (can he?)It's all about mathamtical games. i think math people call them zero sum games ro soemthing like that but we don't. So on wednesday after that Sage was out for a while and we decided to go to TK max as i wanted some new jeans but failed to find anything. On the way in however some idiot boy racers made me serve into a curb and i dented my wheel rim and ripped my tyres.. it didnt look good but it didnt go flat immeadietly or anything. So we continued home after and i think we went to sainsburies. We brought more food and also picked up a new king size duvet for at home but also for here as it was going cheap. That night when we got it we made Bangers and mash and carrots and sweet corn for ourselves and our housemate Will, we watched a family guy in his room then decided to go late night shopping at ASDA to buy a duvet cover. I also waned to go to a garage to check my tyre pressure. Got the duvet cover, which i thik is nice and checked tyre.. it was low. lke 10psi instead of 28, so i pumped it up and set of home carefully. when i got in i researched how to change a wheel, but decided agaisnt doing it myself, just incase. (plus you never know when you will need your spare when you cant get to a garage) So the next day, being thursday, i got up (late again) and took the car to a very nearby garage. They were awesome.. saw to it straight away and the actual mechanic who did it asked me like 100 times before he did anything to make sure i understood and was ok with it. He had me out of the forecourt like 5 times showing me what he was doing.. i even got to go under the car! he sealed up a small hole in the exhaust for free for me and explained about tracking etc.. the place i had my MOT said they had done it but he showed me how they hadnt. Anyway it was great, but costly.. so now im broker than broke. After that we got home and I got a lift to uni to do my essay which i did in a few hours. While i was out Bridie and Sage went to various shops and brought lots of bits with the sort of pocket money sage has saved up (we let her keep all the change we have lying round then she changes it to notes). When i got home she had made a little xmas tree thing and wrapped up hundreds of indivdual little presents.. we dont have much money so some were just lolly pops and stuff but it was amazing. Probably the most thoughtful xmas i've ever had and def the most proper. It was really sweet and amazing. Ok moving on, We decided to have this amazing dinner of Grilled chicken breast sliced open with cheese inside (so it melts) and wrapped in bacon witha side of stir fried marinated veg in some of that moi ploi sauce stuff or whatever its called. Then we sorta had a second part to it and i had a jacket potato with phildelpia and a light salad.. was amazing. Just before it was done i went for a run with my new leg weight things on (another awesome xmas present from that day) and nearly died like usual.. it was hard work. during dinner i watched the first in series 4 of sg-1, its an awesome epsidode cos it resolves the big cliff hanger of the replciators from season 3 and has lots of asguard in it. Then we went to Alex and Matt's again to watch the next in that baby borrower thing, which was also good. We ended up staying there till pretty late cos Twins with Arnie and Danny DeVito came on and thats such an awesome film. Got home and went to bed eventually, but for some reason woke up 5 hours later and can't sleep so am making this post. This weekend i hope to actually go out cos form this psot i look very sad, but then im poor and it wa sonly first week. As a final thought, for those of you who think im king of hypocrites cos I used to hate this kind of post, perhaps you are right, but i realsied that, when im at uni, I feel like im still in touch with everyone cos i read their lj's. | | A post you say? From me? well now how odd.. decided to do one while i'm at home and have time to. Also, being at home has made me realise how great all my home friends are, not that I wasn't aware of this, but that it was more prominant this time. Anywho, I can't really start back in June where i left off so I'll start at New Years. Jo's party was king of awesome and writing a journal just to praise her and her party giving skills is reason enough. I'm very sorry to hear about her dads hifi though, it truely is a bizare thing to go wrong. anyway at the party it was awesome even though i was ill and not drinking. Me and Harey are talking alot more cos of it and me and jon are best friends (hahaha). Anyway the day after new years I totally slept in and didnt go and help Jo tidy up which makes me rubbish but oh well.. That evening we were supposed to go see a night at the museum with Clare but she decided she wanted to spend her last night with her parents and bizarly went to see casino royal isntead. SO we text Alun and Nikki and asked if they wanted to go and suggested some sort of couply meal thing first. They did and alun suggest he drive to Hurst of all palces to a nice resturant he'd never been to. It was most amazing when he got us there with relative ease however it was most UNamazing that it was shut, nobodies fault though lol. So we thought hmm, lets try the hugnry horse near Crispins because they do large manly steaks that alun would like, however upon getting there some chav pikes informed us it was shut also. Ok so time to hit Wokingham town centre. Don Beni was shut but Prezzo wasn't. However there was a 30 min waiting queue even though there were tones of empty tables. So we though hmm, 30 mins would only leave us 30 odd mids to eat dinner and how long might they take to serve? we tried gig house on a whim and bizarly they were the best. Food was very quick if mine was slightly cold. Just incase Jo is reading, I had Scampie, bridie had 10oz rump steak as did alun and Nikki had BBQ chicken melt which we forced her to have cos she couldnt decide. (I know you love those details Jo :-)) Anyway we all had desserts ,and i discovered amazing pear cider, and left with about 10 mins to get to the cinema, which we did and saw the movie.. The movie is fantastic, anyone who says otherwise is a dirty liar.. Ben stiller is great as is Owen Willson and Steve Coogan. After that alun and Nikki came round and we played Gamecube and Snes games (Street fighter 2 is still best) and then we just hung out and showed each other silly you tube things (for anyone who hasnt done it go to youtube and type in "shoes") They left about 2 i think. Ok next day what did we do....we went to see clare in the morning before she left and gave her, her birthday present which is a rugby playing mug.. I think we mainly slept in the day.. yes we did, cos bridie wasnt feeling good and we think maybe she had a dodgy batch of pain killers... Then it was time to go see the dev master at the pub of ducks and dogs. He was full of devish charm as always and even though danny was stupidly stupid, it was most agreeable discussing the universe and how impossible it is. gave Jo and Dev lifts home as jo was sad about speakers, So sad that the wind blew into her eyes! any ways when i got in i watched numerous stargates from season 3 and set season 4 to download i think. Next day, being yesterday I think, i got lots of things done. I posted my letters to the court (that thing about being sued over my car crash hasnt gone away like i hoped, i may have to go to court to defend that I wasn't driving wrecklessly but i think it should be ok), i also got my car tax and did various bank account juggling tricks. That night went out with Jarrod and Charlsey, just to the bottel because we were bored and I think Bridie has got used to seeing people everyday now lol.. had lots of fun discussing boring music related things and also future plans for mortgages and stuff and lots more fun gettign lost on the way to charlseys. when i Got home watched more stargates and had a mock xmas dinner for various reasons. | | PS... this will amke those of you who arent superttious think twice.. last week bridie suddenly said to me.. hmm u know they should make soem automatic breaks in cars.. the next day we suddenly read about it on a website that had only put it up that very day.. weird? then 2 days ago i wa sbaout to cross the road and a perfectly ordniary car went past.. but for some reaosn it felt liek it wa sgonna hit me.. i had a vision.. i got in th ehosue na dbridie said.. i knwo it soudns weird but if elt liek that cr was gonna hit you.. ye tneithe rof us had spoke about it.. lol and fianlly the night before the accident.. in ehr sleep she suddenly said "ur gonna have an accident" and has no recollecton of syaing it!!!! the creme de la creme is that when i told my dad this he sai doh dodnt sya htta.. a few days ago i had a ngith mare that u were baout to crash the car and i woke up jsut a su did.. i was so scare di almost rang up to wanr you...!! thats jsut too weird.. | | comments: Leave a comment |
| Ok pretty big event desevre such update. Yesterday, the 24th, me and Bridie wer eon our way to cantebruyr via essex. However on th em25 something happened.. form what we know it may have been soemthing like this. Someone in frotn swerved out making the guy in frotn of my emergency stop. Cos if was m25 traffic, i didn thave enough room to stop so whislt breaking i swerved roudn that car on to the 2 out of 4 lanes.. Afetr that i think i swerved again to avoid soemone else into the 1st lane wher ei hit soemthing. We dont think it was another car cos iw as told my th epolcie that no1 else went to hosptial.. My memory has totally blacked out of the hwole event and even part sof the day so i havent a clue.. i was then at some point taken to hosptial in an abulance and bridie was taken in another.. as the big event had forced sage to come out she was bait hysterical about goign alone and, even though i kept askign them ot ge ther toy dog out they didnt lsitne.. they put her to sleep and we rode to some hosptial in middlesex... Next thing i know is im getting x rays.. but i dodnt really remember that either.. then im in a bed and i seem to be ok.. bridie is brought to me.. and she sok too.. but she has a broken figner.. which they eventually bandage up.. after a while i'm aske dot get out of my bed cos others need it.. its then i notice my cut up leg, bange dup eye and bad back.. few other cuts etc on my arm and swollen knee.. all in all.. not TOO bad.. i sit with bridie till a doctor sees us. he bascially says she has a bad hand and she should coem abck on mondya.. and that sit.. elaves/../.. then they wheelchair her upto a ward soemwhere.. the gynacology ward.. which is apparently the only bed they had.. the nurse there infroms us she sstaying the ngith for an operation on her hand but i have to elave.. no i didnt meniton that while bridie wa shavign ehr x rays the police came to tes tme for alcohol and ask me about the crahs.. i could rmemebr even elss then so wasnt very helpfull.. anyway eventually they gave me the phone numebr of wher emy car had been taken and my keys minus my car key.. but no phones and no bags jackets etc
so all that is in the car still.. so iw a sphone elss and therefore unable to ge thhold of anyone.. to pick me up.. plus bridie and sage refuse dot stay there that night cos they foudn out they could go to the royal berks th enext day isntead.. so eventually managed ot get a fmailly firndd to coem and get us.. got home.. slept woke up.. got alun and nikki who were turelly fantastic to take us to the hospital.. they took us.. we waited on and off in a&e and by the end of it.. we got osme x rays again cos the other hsotiapl wopudltn send htme over.. turns out bridie does have a figner that need soperatin gon.. but also a fractured spine.. it snot as bad as it soudns i dont htink.. seh snot parlasyed.. but it may elad her to have a hunch or soemthignb when she sodle ri think.. anyway i think she get sosme pysio for that.. anyway so they move us to a ward.. and this time is intensive care.. alun and nikki ahd been there the hwole time,,, alun even calle dhis work to say he coudlnt come in.. we all stayed there and i had to fight them to give her some dinen rbut she got it.. but i again am not allowed to stay.. but she sais it wa sok.. i also have to start work tomorrow and she is insisiting i do.. i hope my friend joc an take me to work and back and maybe to the hosptial.. but if not ill try and get the train i gues.s. but my back hruts too !! apperently its only whiplash though.. anyway bridie is in hosptila now.. she has he rown phoine so if anyoen wnats to hpone her msn me and i can giv eu her number... she will also be all alone tomorrow and visitign horus are form 2 till 8.. shes on the trueta ward.. sorry i dont feel like correctign ym spelling | | comments: Leave a comment |
